GRIFFIN: Negotiating With Labels
October 28, 2006Norwegian heavy metallers GRIFFIN have issued the following update:
"We're currently negotiating with a couple of labels for the upcoming release. What we know is that the distribution for Asia, and probably America, is gonna work out somehow. The European continent is still a little uncertain, but I guess we will sort that out within a couple of weeks. We're planning limited-edition versions, with bonus tracks, a DVD, and even one double-disc version which will contain a remix of our third album entitled 'No Holds Barred'. This album was co-produced by Alexi Laiho [CHILDREN OF BODOM]. He also contributes with some guitarleads and back-up vocals."
GRIFFIN's upcoming fifth album, entitled "The Ultimate Demise", was recorded with engineer Rune Stavnesli and producer Andy LaRocque (KING DIAMOND).
GRIFFIN released its fourth full-length album, entitled "Lifeforce", in August 2005 via Massacre Records. The Japanese and European editions of the album contained a bonus track called "Unforgiver", featuring Andy LaRocque on lead guitar.
GRIFFIN, who enlisted vocalist Rolf Bakken to front the group following the departure of Pete Beck, supported KING DIAMOND on a European tour in May and June.
